Carsten Aermes aka Phon.o, the dot-named boy from the rugged Harz, rose to prominence alongside his buddy Apparat in 90s former East Germany. It was in Berlin where his music truly flourished, boasting a 17-year discography on renowned labels like Boysnoize Records, Bpitch Control, Tectonic and 50WEAPONS. Collaborating with electronic music luminaries such as Diplo, Modeselektor, Funkstörung, Mixhell, and Sinkane, Phon.o crafts a unique sound blending hip hop, dub, and techno. A master of live performance, he's been featured in workshops by Native Instruments and Ableton,  and also regularly contributes to their products with original sounds. Recent releases like “Afterglow” and “Schutt Und Asche” showcase his fusion of UK-bass and techno. Delving into darker realms with his ambient EP “Slow As Fog”, Phon.o remains an essential figure in club culture, with new releases and tours on the horizon.
