MODERAT
When Modeselektor (Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary) and Apparat (Sascha Ring) merged to form the Supergroup Moderat, their impact on the electronic music scene became undeniable. Established individually in Berlin’s music landscape, their collaboration began in 2002, culminating in the formation of Moderat in 2003 with the EP “Auf Kosten der Gesundheit” and later the album “Moderat” in 2009. The trio’s dynamic stems from the juxtaposition of Modeselektor’s thunderous bass and Apparat’s delicate melodies, creating a unique synergy. Following their successful debut, “II” was released in 2013, followed by “III” in 2016, before announcing a hiatus after a monumental concert in Berlin in 2017. However, they returned in 2022 with “MORE D4TA”, tackling themes of isolation and information overload amidst a backdrop of experimentation and sonic exploration, showcasing their unwavering dedication to their craft.
