Can „Khan“ Oral, born to Turkish-Finnish parents, has been a prolific figure in Berlin’s arts scene since 2002. Prior to this, he spent a decade in New York City, where he ran a renowned electronic record shop, hosted events, and collaborated with various artists including Diamanda Galas, Kim Gordon, and Jimi Tenor. With over 300 physical records released to date, Khan’s diverse projects span theater, film, music production, and visual art. He has received accolades such as the Qwartz Award in 2012 for best song in France. To date, Khan has released over 300 physical records. His latest studio albums, “The Enlightenment Machine” (2014, AlbumLabel) and “Nicht Nur Sex” (2017, Shitkatapult), were released via Radom Noize Musick. He also worked with the duo Tiefschwarz on their album “Left”, released on Watergate Records in 2015. Additionally, he runs his own publishing company and record labels, and hosts a monthly tea dance party called “T” in Berlin.
